Flax Seed Hair Gel

My homemade hair gel is the easiest thing to make and it works better than any product I’ve ever used! Although my hair is curly, its needs a heavy gel so that it doesn’t get frizzy. If you think using the goop from flax seeds in your hair is crazy, give it a try and you’ll be pleasantly surprised! Once in a while I’ll go back to using my store bought gel and it just never feels as good.

You can use the gel as is, or add essential oils for their therapeutic properties or just to make it smell great!

1/2 cup brown flax seeds

2 cups of water

Bring the flax and water to a boil and then let simmer for 10 minutes. Strain through a mesh strainer. Take the goop and put it in a jar and keep in the fridge for 2 weeks. Discard the flax seeds. Use generously throughout your hair as you would normal hair gel. There ya have it. Not rocket science 🙂 but it works like a charm!
